We are all experiencing the effects of an accelerated pace of change, intensified competition, and increasingly demanding customers – what has been referred to as ‘vucasity on speed’ where v is volatility, u is uncertainty, c is complexity, and a is ambiguity. The problems we encounter within this 'vucan' world are no longer simple, with straightforward solutions, they are ‘wicked’. So it is unsurprising that there is often a tendency, when faced with such unsettled times, to respond with ideas and actions rather than asking is our approach to addressing the problem part of the problem?

We often stumble on the way because ‘wicked’ problems need a different approach. Wicked problems do not have straightforward solutions – indeed in many situations they do not even promise a solution at all.

They provide the mindset, tools, and language to enable others to act on these volatile, sticky, knotty, complex, often hidden issues (‘elephants in the room’) in teams and organisations.

Perspectiv focuses mainly on customised in-house programmes. Leading Wicked Problem Solving is Perspectiv’s customised range of two to five day development options.

We work with the organisation to customise the workshops for a general audience, or might target specific individuals or teams. Programmes can be supported with Personal or Team Coaching which is typically established on the basis of a number of sessions or over a fixed period with a fee agreed for the whole contract.
